File Requirements

To ensure the highest print quality, your source file must:

  • Be a single PDF file
  • Use CMYK color mode
  • Contain no ICC profile tagging
  • Have all fonts embedded (full font preferred; subset acceptable)
  • Use a minimum resolution of 600 DPI for graphics and exported PDF
  • Have all layers flattened
  • Include .125" bleed outside each cut line
  • Maintain a .125" safe area inside each cut line

Print Quality Guarantee

While CMYK printing can’t reproduce every color, it delivers a wide color range and produces professional, eye-pleasing results. We’ll always make every reasonable effort to match your colors as closely as possible. Please note:

  • Minor color variation (piece-to-piece or page-to-page) is normal and does not qualify as a defect.
  • A “perfect color match” cannot be guaranteed by any CMYK printer.

Our Promise

  • Orders up to $500 (excluding shipping): If a print defect is found, you may choose a refund or reprint.
  • Orders over $500 (excluding shipping): If a print defect is found, we will decide whether to refund or reprint.

Reprints

  • Must use the original source file that meets the requirements above
  • Will be completed at the same service level as the original order
  • Include free Ground shipping
  • May require return of the defective product

Refunds

  • Must use the original source file that meets the requirements above
  • Issued within 48 hours of approval (credit card refunds may take longer to post)
  • Apply to the purchase price only (shipping charges excluded)
  • May require return of the defective product

Delivery Commitment

We make every effort to meet your requested delivery date. If there’s a delay:

  • If caused by Short Run Printing, Ltd.:
    • We’ll send an automated email update
    • Upon request, we’ll refund 10% of the order cost per day of delay (up to 100%)
  • If caused by the shipping carrier (and covered by their Money-Back Guarantee):
    • Upon request, we’ll refund 100% of the shipping charges
